Close Up

A close up is a standard shot used in a TV show or movie with specific attention to detail on the performance of the actor or actress, depicting a character's deep emotions, or intensity of a scene. Close ups display the most detail, and can let the viewer learn more about a character from his/her emotions. A close up shot is taken with the subject tightly framed and shown at a relatively large scale.
